History

Paulton Junior School is a place where we love to explore the past and bring history to life! Our school is passionate about teaching history, because we believe that learning about the past helps us understand our world and how it came to be. We have chosen the Rising Stars scheme, a special program that makes history exciting and accessible for everyone. This curriculum is designed to be ambitious and challenges all our pupils to think like historians—asking questions; examining evidence; and piecing together the stories of people and events that shaped our world. At Paulton Junior School, history is not just something to learn; it is an adventure we can explore together!

Here are the Subject Knowledge Organisers for each unit for each year group. Please take some time to read them if you would like to find out what our children will be learning in History year by year.
